Knowing the will of God as a spiritual leader is good, but doing the will of God is better.
However, when the will of God, is done, the promise of God (in ministry, marriage, finance etc) doesn’t always come immediately. Therefore, an effective spiritual leader must learn endurance to wait for the reception of God’s promise (prophecy).
Between where a spiritual leader is and where he or she is promised exist a gap, which only preparation can fill. Thus, a spiritual leader isn’t expected to wait in endurance in idleness, but in preparation. Preparation is never easy, it is usually stressful, difficult and uncelebrated; however, with strong endurance, the whole preparation process will be concluded with testimonies afterwards.
While the spiritual leader is in preparation for the reception of God’s promise in endurance; the spiritual leader must never lose confidence in the process – for confidence helps endurance and endurance helps one to tarry till the end.
