Many times when we are confronted with difficulties, challenges, barriers, threats and even opportunities; we often think that we are faced with accidental happenings. But having been confronted with a superior light from the wisdom of God, I have discovered that there are no accidents in life; neither are there accidents in marriage, business, ministry or even in politics. In fact, every thing evolves in time to fulfill certain part or phase or junction within the Word of God.

You see, God created the world that we live in and set it in motion, but regulates, coordinates and orchestrates events by His Word.

...has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, Whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power.....
Hebrews 1:2-3

If we peruse that portion of the Scriptures carefully, you would see that the Son, whom we know as Jesus Christ was the mould or means, through which the world was made and according to that Scripture, God keeps everything in their proper place and function through the same means - Jesus Christ - the Word.

The choice is there for every man, either to become fully aligned with the Word of God and sail successfully through life in the fulfillment of the prophecies (earlier spoken word of God) or to disregard the word of God and live a disjointed, disconnected, disappointed and deceived life. The choice is ours to make, but our choices make our lives good or bad.

Let us briefly consider the life of Jesus to understand this principle of living to fulfill the word of God.

....When he arose, he (Joseph) took the young Child (Jesus) and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY THE LORD THROUGH THE PROPHET, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son."
Mathew 2:14-15

But when he (Joseph) heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of His father Herod, HE WAS AFRAID TO GO THERE. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY THE PROPHETS, "He shall be called a Nazarene."
Matthew 2:22-23

I would like to start with this word: Joseph was not particularly aware of some of these prophecies; he was simply living his life, but even when he was afraid, his choices were still as spoken of earlier by the Lord through the prophets. Sometime later when Jesus was in the synagogue, the officials of the place of worship gave Him the scroll to read for the service; but He found where it was written of Him in the Scriptures by Isaiah the prophet in Isaiah 61:1-4. The truth is, there are places in the Scripture where the beginning and the end of your life was written. Sometimes your pastor might read or quote it, but until YOU decide to search the Scriptures for YOURSELF and FIND it, it might be a little difficult your life to be fully aligned with the Word.

Remember the story of Judas Ischariot, the son of Simon that betrayed Jesus; do you know that his life was also written in the Scriptures. But you see, everything is written in the Scriptures, if you make right choices in life, your end is written, and if you make wrong choices, your end is also written. Had it been that Judas made the right choice, his name would have been among the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb, but since he made a wrong choice, he was replaced by another. If you think that God already predestined him for failure, then I will ask you, " Was Judas not given enough opportunity to repent from his evil thoughts and intentions?" Jesus tried to save him, but he was too far from Jesus to receive the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ for that moment.

If your daily choices draws you away from the Word of God, then, you are consciously and unconsciously drifting from the grace of God that keeps the world in alignment with the will of God.

Learn from the life of Jesus, Judas and every other person in your family or nation or denomination, whose life has been a vivid demonstration of the indispensability of the Word of God for effective living on the earth. As you need the oxygen, which I call spirit to live; I believe that you need the Word to live. Remember, a man must not live alone by bread, but by every word of God. Word and Spirit are the two indispensable provisions of God for effective living on the earth. When the two leaves the earth, the antiChrist will come. While they are here, the Word is kept under check and guidance and blessed by the LORD!
