The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) led by Professor Attahiru Jega, has been doing a great deal of work in imposing confidence in the electoral process of Nigeria. We are not to cast away our confidence because of the dirty nature of the polity and the process. To effect a change, there must be consistent and concerted effort to make sure that we do not give up on the process and we thrive to make it work, not minding the un-enabling environment we find ourselves.

To help INEC:

  1. Join to educate Nigerians around you about the political process.
  2. Keep yourself abreast of the information in the political process.
  3. Be an election observer in your polling unit
  4. Be aware of the time for accreditation and voting
  5. Monitor the election materials
  6. Join to maintain peace in your community by working with security operatives
  7. Be vigilant and alert
  8. Protect your mandate-your vote
  9. Make your vote count
  10. Obey the dictates of the electoral act and the constitution of the federal republic
