Effective spiritual leadership demands that the leader always take the lead. A spiritual leader must learn to always take the lead in everything – sacrifice, discipline, patience, etc.

By the order of creation, everything that God intended man to lead pre- existed man, but God didn’t form them until man was formed.

According to the book of Genesis 2: 19, Adam was formed before every other creature on the earth; hence, he was well positioned to lead them

Often times, God usually take the spiritual leader through a formation process before their people. And until the spiritual leader’s formation is completed, he or she can never lead.

The problem today is that, most people desire to lead when they are not filly formed for the responsibility.

Although, God’s plan and purpose usually pre – exist any spiritual leader, but God will not place His approved on anyone that isn’t fully formed for leadership.

Also, after every formation of spiritual leaders, there is usually an assignment preordained by God to examine the competence of the spiritual leader on the task ahead.

Leadership of any kind actually requires anyone to go ahead of others. Until you’ve gone ahead of a group on many things, you will never be able to lead them effectively.
