Troops kill alleged terrorists’ kingpin Mr. Bada, rescue abducted victims in Zamfara

Troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI on Sunday neutralised an alleged bandits’ kingpin, popularly known as ‘Mr. Bada’ and rescued abducted victims, while others fled with gunshot injuries in Zamfara State.

Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami,  in a statement on Monday, revealed that Bada was the bandit who attacked Yar Tashar village market and killed some farmers on October 13, 2022.

Bada was killed after troops responded to bandits’ attack on farmers harvesting their produce at Yar Tashar village in Maru Local Council of Zamfara State.

He said troops recovered one motorcycle, some weapons and valuables.

General Danmadami also revealed that troops responded to bandits’ attack at Gamraki village, Kwatarkwashi District of Bungudu Local Council of Zamfara State.

“Troops discovered and engaged bandits who had kidnapped two locals. Troops engaged the bandits, rescued the kidnapped victims, neutralised one bandit, while others fled with gunshot injuries.

“Troops recovered one AK 47 rifle, one magazine, two rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, among others.

“The Military High Command commends troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and encourages the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities,” General Danmadami said.
