Lagos Island residents have vowed to support the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This was made known as members of the AGT group (Asiwaju Grassroots Talk) organised a seminar on Lagos Historic Nation Voting Fortune in the 57 LGAs/LCDAs with the theme: “Political Evangelism: Raising Active Voters Above Fifty Percent”. It was held at the Glover Memorial Hall Lagos Island, by governor Babajide Sanwo Olu.
The seminar was organised with the aim of garnering minimum of 1.5million votes for Tinubu and also to persuade the people to vote for the party.
Abdulhakeem Adetugbobo, Director General, Asiwaju Grassroots Talk (AGT), said the group is capable of mobilsing 1.8million votes. The seminar was also meant to raise awareness for the projects the governor has been doing to modernise Lagos. He described Tinubu as the best candidate to move the country to the next level.
According to Abdulhakeem, mobilisation cards were distributed among the members to encourage people to show their support for the APC candidate so as to reach their target.
Alhaji Muibi Folawuyi, Chairman of the Asiwaju Grassroots Talk (AGT) , said: “If we follow the vision and mission of the party we will reach where we are going to which is the top”.
The chairman promised to triple what they have been doing to boost the Lagos Island Local government and serve them to achieve greatness. He encouraged the youths to vote for the APC presidential candidate for the development of the country.
Alhaji Rasaq Oladimejilehin, Chairman Community Development Committee (CDC) of Lagos Island Committee, said Tinubu created employment opportunities as governor and created 37 additional council.
