Suspected thugs on Thursday morning attacked the Port Harcourt residence of Senator Lee Maeba, a supporter of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
Sen. Maeba is the Rivers State coordinator of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council.
The thugs numbering over 30 were said to have jumped into the compound through the fence and broke the padlock of the gate to gain entrance into the premises. Some vehicles in the compound were destroyed during the attack. The security guard was said to have escaped during the attack.
Supporters of the Atiku Abubakar were to hold stakeholders meeting at the premises before the incident.
