Japa is real! Many of my friends have relocated already.
Many youths cite insecurity, unemployment, poor healthcare, and lack of reliable infrastructure as reasons for leaving. Others simply want better pay, career growth, and a chance at a better life for their families.
The Brain Drain Problem
While individuals benefit from Japa, Nigeria suffers from a massive loss of skilled workers—especially doctors, nurses, and IT professionals. This creates a talent gap that weakens the economy.
Can It Be Reversed?
Analysts believe that if government invests in jobs, security, and infrastructure, more Nigerians will choose to stay and build the country.
